Nelson Bay and the Sleepy Koalas

Howdy Folks. Just a quick update to keep you all in the Beachside loop. Part of the Hunter Valley region is the area known as Port Stephens. This Island inlet consists of a National wildlife reserve surrounded by vast stretches of beaches and more beaches. Within the reserve are Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats ect. Kangaroos are quite common, probably similar to rodents in other countries but so far all we have seen is a dead one on the side of the road. However, as you can see from the pictures we lucked out and found a couple of lazy Koalas sleeping in the trees behind the beach..what a life! Dentistry has been a tough but enjoyable transition. The practice consists of 3 full time dentists including myself, but from the start i have been alone as both other collegues have been away on holiday (until FEB) and the other transfered to a different practice. Fresh out of dental school i am finding myself knee deep in poopy situations. Just hope that payday heals all wounds. Love/miss you all...
