Keeping cool

Today was pretty warm with 20+ above and sunny. Even though it's far from as hot as it gets here in summer, I'm already struggling... I'm realising how tough it's going to be to keep Tora cool and comfortable as the weather gets warmer.  No socks today and we ditched the pants half way through the day! Tora certainly wasn't complaining:)

These pants are getting too tight for me mum!

Fathers Day

Today is Father's Day here in Australia. Although I sometimes feel the likes of Father's Day, Valentines day etc are just one big commercial hype, Tora and I still decided to give a little gift to Wyatt. He now has two lovely pictures of Tora to hang up in his surgery at work! We went for a little stroll along the foreshore and stopped for lunch. I realised we desperately need to buy Tora a sunhat as we tried to cover her with a thin sheet...

First day of spring!

Monday was officially the first day of spring! It brought beautiful weather and so we spent a few hours walking and enjoying the sun. Tora was even patient enough to let us have lunch at a new place called Lucky that just opened up in Newcastle, a really cool place in a renovated old building with a nice courtyard. So many new places are popping up in downtown Newy at the moment!

Unfortunately the good weather wasn't here to stay. Rainy, windy and no more than 12-15C for the last two days:(

Walking along the foreshore

Herb garden on the wall at Lucky!

Always in a good mood talking to dad on the change table:)

Sunny Sunday!

So, time for an update!

Since the last one, mum and dad have been here for a visit. The three weeks flew and it was so nice to have them here and to see them with Tora and for her to get to know mormor and morfar. We miss them already and are looking forward to the next time. It's getting harder and harder to live so far away from our families...

Tora is growing and developing so quickly. She is a smiley little girl and tries so hard to talk to us and follow us around with her eyes when we move about. She's giving us so much joy and love! Right now she's in a pretty good sleeping pattern at night with 4-6 hours in one go when we put her down. I know this will probably change again and again and we might get back to waking up every two hours again but we're enjoying it while it lasts:)

Spring is nearly here and after a week of downpour (it's been raining more or less everyday since you left, mamma o pappa) today was sunny so we went for a stroll downtown and had lunch in the sun!

Tora Meets Mor-Mor and Morfar

Its been a while since our last update but Tora is such a handfull in all the good ways. Even though we have our feet wet it is nice to welcome Beyo and Ingrid back to Australia to meet their new favorite!! Okay so they have a bunch of favorites but its nice to go out for dinner and have a few extra experienced hands to fuss over our little girl. We will zip through some old pics up till now, bow has she changed along the way...
Still a little wrinkly in late June
Just starting to smile, probably gas and not the presence of her awesome parents
Very big and dark eyes, they have since changed to blue and it is undetermined if she has blonde or brown hair, nothing there to style yet.
Goofing with dad.
I think this one has some fight in her, possible boxer??
Starting to chubb up.
Tora meet Mor-Mor, Swedish for Grandma from mother's side.
Enjoying the winter inside...

Loves to Nap onDad...

Our love

Our love. Despite the lack of sleep and at times the frustration of not knowing what's wrong when she's upset, we still can't get enough of her.  Can't believe this beautiful little person is our daughter.
The most comfortable thing ever is to snuggle up inside dad's hoodie.

Welcome Tora Elise Lintott

As Most have already heard, Johanna and I are proud parents to Tora Elise Lintott, born 8:28am and weighing 2.75kg. Johanna was awesome during a hastened labor of only 1.5 hours, very proud
     of her.

Tora's old man face, from pictures of myself at this time, she's taking after her dad.

Beautiful mother, does she look like she had just given birth??

Baby shower

My friends Sal and Kim organised a high tea baby shower for me a couple of weeks ago. Since baby showers are not that common in Sweden my own one was also the first one I ever went to:)

I had a lovely afternoon with great company, yummie foods and lovely gifts!

Beautiful little sandwiches, scones and pastries
