Home alone

Wyatt is away in Sydney with work tonight so I took the chance to cook one of my favorites, pasta, pesto and prawns! W is not a huge fan of pesto but I love it and we have so much basil with our two plants right now.  The more i pick and use, the more it seems to grow:)

We're slowly starting to prepare for the arrival of our little girl (3 months today until the due date:) and bought a second hand cradle.  We don't want to buy too much and all new stuff since we won't be able to take it with us when we leave (still don't know when and where for sure...) but this cradle seems to be in pretty good condition and I love the white timber. A new mattress is all we need and it's good to go!

Beach Time

Oh how the Summer has flown by. I don't feel like I remember doing much for summer as far as how much time in the past we have spent outdoors. However, fall has been lovely and we have been taking advantage in full.
Fishing out by Nobby's head. No luck here but at least the other guys/girls around were just as unlucky. It was nice to get out in the sun though.

Johanna was quick enough to snap a quick shot of some dolphins off of Bar beach in the city. We think that the pod roughly had 6-8 all hanging around 100 feet off of the beach.

A good looking Rooster. Just trying out the moustache prior to the Dental Industry Exhibition in Sydney next week. I have to have them take me seriously somehow.
One of the tough things about moving away from our house in Nelson bay was leaving our beloved animals behind. Lucky for us Possums are all over Newcastle and we have a little family around our house. This juvenile male hides on our deck within one of the ducts.
This is the mother we call "Darby" and her small baby boy "Rusty." Just took a carrot from my hand and about to jump for the trees.

Evening walk

A walk to Bar beach on a beautiful warm evening.

Outside work noticing the gap between my top and jeans.  Another piece of clothing I have to ditch for a while.

Hanging on to summer

It's officially autumn here but the weather has been pretty nice and sunny the last few days so we took the opportunity and spent a few hours on the beach Sunday.  The water was lovely and warm and I surprised both myself and Wyatt by spending more than 2 min out in the waves:)

We're back!

So, after a long 6 month break from the blog we're back! Too much pressure from you and I promised I would get back into it.

Not sure it will be any inspiring posts, but will try and keep you up to date with pictures at least.  As most of you know by now, we'll be three in June and have our own little family!  Wyatt unfortunately missed the 18 week scan since he had gone back to Australia and I was staying behind in Sweden.  The midwife kept the sex of the baby a secret and wrote it down on a post it note! After carrying it around in my bag for over a month, we finally got to open it when I got back! We're having a little girl! So exciting and we can't wait to meet her and get to know this little person that's wriggling around in my belly:)

A Sydney break just after getting back from Sweden
On our way to the ocean baths for a swim last week, a week and a half on and I now feel so much bigger looking at that picture.

Tonights dinner: Lentil and potatoe soup with a bit of chicken added (thanks for the recipe Ida!)
Kiwi berries(!) never heard of it before.  Not sure if they're the result of an obscured man made experiment but they're very yummy and easy to eat.  No need to peel, just pop them in:)
