Here we are for a wonderful weekend in Tea Gardens, about 50km north of the Port Stephens area. Although as usual the scenery is absolutely fantastic the weather was not in full cooperation with rain lasting through our weekend. We were lucky enough to be invited over to my collegue's cabin (Quintin and Sally) where the beach was only a short distance away. Several animals also graced our company including the family dog Solomon, a skink (on my arm), and a pod of dolphins. We enjoyed the inside making home made pasta that was made by scratch and with a portion of it unwittingly going to the dogs. Johanna will tell you a large fish tale but i have the picture to prove that the little fella she caught was well below the size limit and also wounded by the Swedish technique of eye gouging. I was informed that the people of Scona use this little trick to catch fish, when they feel a bite on the end of their line they move the rod in such a way that the hook becomes embedded in the fishes eye...lol, i hope you feel bad about this JO! I am more of a humane fisherman, letting the fish completely eat the praw off of the hook without letting me catch them.
P.S. Congrats to Johanna and Marcus on their new but early arrival! I know Daddy did good!
